ESL Program


All Students must register as full-time students in one of the following programs. The ESL Program consists of 20 hours of classes per week. A blended program of ESL and other courses may increase class time to 27 hours per week.

Note: Students may enter ESL programs at the start of any month. Tuition will be prorated to $325 per week.

University Transfer (UT) Certificates and Diplomas

Please note: Most university transfer courses are 3 credit courses, with a cost of $ 885 per course. If you are taking a 4 credit course, the cost is: $ 1180 per course

Tuition for the next semester is due on the first of the month, two months prior proceeding the nest semester.
Example - July 1st for the September semester
        November 1st for the January semester

Medical Insurance

All students enrolled at NLC for more than 4 months must have Canadian medical insurance. This is mandatory and is available through the International Department. Students are required to pay the premium in advance so that it is in place on the day students arrive in Canada. The cost is $399 for 6 months.
