ESL students are recommended to stay with a host family during their first semester of studies to introduce them to Canadian family customs and cultures.
We have a number of families who enjoy opening their homes to international students. Each host family provides their homestay student with a bed, desk, lamp and dresser, as well as towels, and enough bedding. The host family is also responsible for providing the student with three meals a day. The student is required to pay the following to Northern Lights College for their homestay.
| Homestay Finding Fee
| Homestay Security Deposit
| Homestay Monthly Rent
After the first month, the student is then required to pay their host family the rent on the first of the every month.
