With this donation, Canbriam Energy becomes an Aurora Level industry partner in the College’s donor recognition program through the NLC Foundation.

“Canbriam Energy believes that a modern learning environment will increase long term opportunities for certified trades personnel.” said Donna Phillips, Canbriam’s Executive Vice President of Corporate Development.  “We’re confident that this collaboration with Northern Lights College will effectively deliver trades skill training and enable sustainable economic outcomes for all stakeholders.”

NLC President and CEO Dr. Bryn Kulmatycki said progress towards making the proposed Dawson Creek trades training centre a reality is possible because of industry partners like Canbriam Energy.

“Canbriam Energy’s generous donation is another example of how industry operating in the Peace Region has really stepped up to the plate,” said Dr. Klumatycki. “This donation will go a long way to making the trades training centre a reality, and we appreciate the support.”

NLC offers two intakes each year for Foundation Trades programs in September and February with various start dates for its Apprenticeships programs. For more information, check the website at nlc.bc.ca.

Donations and awards programs are administered by the NLC Foundation. The NLC Foundation awarded more than $500,000 to students in the 2014-15 academic year. To learn more about the NLC Foundation and upcoming awards, visit online at nlc.bc.ca/About-NLC/NLC-Foundation.
