New Director of International Education appointed at Northern Lights College

Johnson will lead international education activities at the College and oversee international recruitment, admissions and partnerships as well as ensure that a supportive learning environment for students continues to thrive through the delivery of high quality services and social programming on-campus.

Johnson has a Masters of Education in Adult Learning and Global Change from the University of British Columbia (UBC) as well as a Bachelor of Arts (Languages Major) from UBC.  She has worked on a diverse range of international as well as domestic training initiatives for students and youth in both B.C. and Ontario for well over a decade, and is passionate about creating invitational learning environments to help learners succeed.

The role of Director of International Education at Northern Lights will help ensure that the College continues to “go global” and offer dynamic and supportive opportunities for students as well as provide high quality services and social programming on-campus. Additionally, Jennifer will oversee the College’s international recruitment strategies, supports and admission initiatives.

With respect to staffing structure, Jennifer will lead the international education teams on the Dawson Creek and Fort St. John campuses, and will be situated on the Dawson Creek campus in the interim until a more permanent office is created for her in Fort St. John.
