WFTR 113 - Respiratory Protection

This training is designed to provide the worker with information and practical skills so they are knowledgeable in the effective use, care and maintenance of respiratory equipment.

Course Content:
- Selecting respiratory protective equipment
- Types of respiratory equipment
- Pre-use inspection
- Donning SCBA/SABA
- Fit-testing
- IDLH atmospheres

- Care and maintenance


Learning Outcomes:
Students will be able to:
- Identify the need for respiratory protection
- Identify different types of respiratory equipment
- Explain the difference among types of respiratory equipment

- Provide workers with information and practical skills required for proper use, care, and maintenance of respiratory equipment


Grading System: Pass/Fail


Passing Grade: 70%
