In this course you will learn to perform one rescue CPR, assist a choking victim, and respond effectively to the signals of a heart attack in people aged 8 and over. Red Cross certification 3 years.

16 years of age is recommended, but not mandatory.
- Checking for consciousness, airway, breathing and circulation
- Conscious choking for an adult or child over 8 years old
- Signs and symptoms of a heart attack
- Orientation on the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Upon completion of this course participants will have the skills to assist a conscious or unconscious adult or child over the age of 8 years, when one-rescuer CPR is required or when they are choking.
Grading System: Pass/Fail
Passing Grade: Pass (There is not a specific passing grade. Whether the student passes or not is dependant on the Instructor's evaluation of how the student is able to demonstrate what they have learned)
