This 1-day course was developed in conjunction with the Canadian Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors (CAODC). The course is intended for workers and other personnel involved in drilling and service rig operations. Topics covered include: rescue team roles, rescue equipment, ropes and knots, mechanical advantage, management of escape buggy, and rescue scenarios.

The goal of this course is to provide the student with a basic level of knowledge and skills used in rescue scenarios.

A secondary exam is permitted. If the secondary exam is failed, students must retake the course.
