AMEP 103 - Aluminum Forming, Assembly and Repair

This module covers the forming of metal, assembly of parts and repair of structural damage.

Admission into the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Program.

P3-1: Former Project
- Interpret drawing and layout project
- Bend material
- Drill holes
- Repair damage - apply repair scheme
- Install rivets
- Apply marking criteria
P3-2: Pressurized Patch Project
- Repair damage - apply repair scheme
- Prep aluminum
- Install rivets and sealant
- Apply marking criteria
P3-4: Aileron
- Interpret drawings and layout project
- Bend material
- Install rivets
- Install inspection hole and cover
- Apply marking criteria

 

Learning Outcomes:

The student will build and assemble aluminum components using blueprints or repair specifying tolerances and criteria.

 

Grading System:  Percentage

 

Passing Grade:  70%

 

Percentage of Individual Work: 100
