AMEP 106B - Electrical Installations
This module covers the skills, tools, and components used for typical aircraft electrical installations.

Hours: 97.6 (Shop/Teaching Kitchen: 97.6)
Total Weeks:  15

Prerequisite: Admission into the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Program.
Course Content:

P6B-1: Wiring

  • Complete assembly of wiring harness according to wiring diagram
  • Apply marking criteria
P6B-2: Mag Timer
  • Draw plans for appropriate aluminum box
  • Fabricate box from plans
  • Assemble components
  • Apply marking criteria
P6B-3: Radio Install
  • Draw wiring schematic
  • Install wiring according to schematic
  • Install components and test installation
  • Apply marking criteria
Learning Outcomes:
  • The student will interpret wiring diagrams, select appropriate parts and components, and assemble them using proper techniques to complete assigned electrical installations.
Grading System:  Percentage

Passing Grade:  70%
