This module covers typical maintenance procedures for piston and turbine engines.

Prerequisite: Admission to the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Program
Course Content:

P7-1 Recip. Maintenance

  • Complete manufacturers specifications
  • Reassemble engine
  • Complete associated paperwork
  • Install engine in runup bay and test engine
P7-2 Turbine Maintenance
  • Complete assigned inspections and maintenance tasks on various turbine engines
Learning Outcomes:
  • The student will disassemble a horizontally-opposed piston engine. T
  • The student will complete inspections and maintenance tasks on various turbine engines using manufactures references.
Passing Grade:  70%
