AMEP 113 - Engine Installation and Testing
This module covers the installations and operations of aircraft engines.

Hours: 72 (Shop/Teaching Kitchen: 72)
Total Weeks:  15

Prerequisite: Admission to the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Program.
Course Content:

P13-1 Piston Engine Change

  • Remove engine from airframe and replace with serviceable engine
  • Ground run aircraft
P13-2 Turbine Engine Change
  • Remove engine from airframe and replace with serviceable engine
  • Ground run aircraft
P13-3 Commander Run-up
  • Complete ground testing of aircraft to manufacturer's guidelines
Learning Outcomes:
  • The student will install and ground run a piston and turbine engine in an aircraft.
Grading System:  Percentage

Passing Grade:  70%

Percentage of Group Work:  100

  • P13-3=5%
