Course Content:
T5-1 – Hand Tools

Demonstrate adherence to air regulations and safety procedures

Demonstrate the proper use of cutting tools used in the repair and maintenance of aircraft

Demonstrate the proper selection and use of mechanical and electrical assembly tools

Demonstrate the proper use of sheet metal tools

Demonstrate the proper use of the measurement and layout group of tools
T5-2 – Machine Tools

Demonstrate adherence to air regulations and safety procedures

Demonstrate the proper use of power and abrasive tools
T5-3 – Precision Instruments

Use and care for micrometers

Use and care of bore & dial gauges & protractors

Explain the use of miscellaneous instrument
Learning Outcomes:
- The student will select the proper tool for the job and use it appropriately to complete the task.
- The student will ensure the tool is functioning properly, calibrated as required and repaired when necessary.
