This course will introduce the student to basic skills required for using a computer; prepare, save & retrieve word processing documents; find and print information from the Internet, and how to use simple information systems.

- Basic start-up and shutdown procedures on a computer

Achieve a typing speed of 10 wpm, or alternatively a speed equal to their handwriting speed

Performance tasks:
The student will be required to perform all tasks in an acceptable manner in a practical demonstration.
