Learning Outcomes:
Once completed the course the student will be able to:

– Identify characteristics of success in the workplace;
– Recognize barriers to success and how to remove them;
– Describe and demonstrate motivational attitudes for the workplace;
– Describe the effects of motivational attitudes for success in the workplace;
– Describe what personal values are and recognize what personal values are in others;
– Demonstrate self-esteem;
– Demonstrate positive communication, including written, verbal, listening, and non-verbal styles;
– Manage the challenges of lifestyle change, by demonstrating life choices in areas of time management and recognition of drug and alcohol effects;
– Differentiate among various diet choices and the need for a healthy diet and nutrition;
– Recognize diverse cultures of society and demonstrate complementary interaction for a variety of ethnic groups;
– Prepare a monthly budget plan, including bill payment, food, shelter, and personal choice costs.
