Demonstrations will be given on creating various pieces on the potter's wheel, and instruction in glazing and firing. Participants will find this course a challenging and delightful experience.

Introduction of Clay
- possible uses
- clay preparation
- hand building techniques

The following concepts will be explored using lecture/demonstration and assigned project:
- slab building
- coil building
- basic wheel techniques
- design, shaping, trimming
- decoration
- glazing and firing
Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, learners will be able to:
