Calendar Description:
As of September 15, 2002, all boaters operating motorized water craft under four meters must have a Pleasure Craft Operator (PCO) Card. In order to the PCO Card you must write and pass the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG( exam. While preparing participants to write the CCG exam, the Red Cross program is designed to teach boaters of all ages the information they need to know to Prepare, Stay Safe and Survive in the water. Red Cross offers On Board, a self-study program through The On Board Manual - A 120 page full-colour print manual that includes pictures, diagrams and checklist.

Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course you will understand the legal responsibilities of being a boat operator. You will learn how best to operate and maintain your boat, how to save lives if there is a boating mishap and you will be prepared to write the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) accredited test with confidence.
