Calendar Description:
There are 33,000 lift truck accidents in North America each year - don't be one of the statistics. This one-day training session provides comprehensive training for first time operators and an in-depth discussion on inspection, load handling, rated capacity, stability and how to maintain a forklift's centre of gravity. The last session in this course consists of participation exercises that evaluate the worker's knowledge of forklift safety. Topics covered are stability, safe driving skills, travelling-fork position, pedestrian safety, pre-inspection, load handling, identifying potential hazards, and accident statistics.
