Learning Outcomes:
At the end of this training, the student will be familiar with the major components and day-to-day operations of a service rig including spotting and rigging up/out of the service rig. The student will be able to describe the working conditions on a service rig, their associated hazards and be able to carry out the following skills employing safe work practices:
-Proper lifting and carrying techniques
-Proper lock-out procedures
-Use a come along to tighten guy lines
-Use and maintain of basic hand tools
-Trip tubing and rods
-Rod spinning
-Operate power tongs while tripping
-Work rig floor while tripping tubing
-Carryout rig equipment maintenance
