The AHCOTE program involves a partnership between School Districts 59, 60, 81, Simon Fraser University, the University of Northern British Columbia, and Northern Lights College. It prepares students to become teachers anywhere in BC or Alberta.

The half-time program coordinator position is available for the Alaska Highway Consortium in Teacher Education (AHCOTE) in Fort St. John. It is a 10 month appointment commencing August 1, 2012 with the possibility of renewal.
