Description

The Human Resource Advisor provides advice, direction, support and services in a number of Human Resources functions including, but not limited to, recruitment, orientation, and leave management and labour relations.  This position plays a key role in enhancing workplace culture by demonstrating a commitment to ensuring HR services are responsive to the needs of the organization and employees.

Qualifications

The technical requirements for this job would typically be acquired through a diploma in Human Resources Management, plus three years supervisory experience in a unionized environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

A CPHR designation, or the willingness to achieve the designation, is a definite asset.

The successful candidate will possess knowledge of relevant legislation including the BC Employment Standards Act and the Workers Compensation Act.  In addition, the successful candidate will be able to handle confidential information, multi-task and possess superior analytical skills.

This position requires a valid class 5 BC Drivers’ license and an acceptable driving record.
