Strong Women’s Circle runs from 10–12pm at the NLC Gathering Space in the Dawson Creek campus.
The women's circle was started by three Indigenous students—Coline Casey, Rachel Bolstad and Meesha Beaulieu. They will alternate leading the circle, which is open to NLC students, staff, and community members. The Gathering Space, provides a safe, supportive and positive place for friendship and conversation among women. The Indigenous Student Navigator will be there to help with any NLC support services. Discussions in the Circles are confidential, and participants are welcome and encouraged to share stressors and resilience stories.
Refreshments are provided, and activities such as beading and sewing will be introduced.
