FORT ST. JOHN - Several NLC students received entrance awards administered by the NLC Foundation on September 24th

VICTORIA - As part of B.C.’s Skills for Jobs Blueprint, 20 public post-secondary institutions have each received $75,000 in one-time funding to help learners with disabilities access training programs for high-demand job skills.

DAWSON CREEK – One hundred and thirty-five students at Northern Lights College have been recognized for outstanding achievement placed on the College’s 2013-2014 Honour List.

VICTORIA - As part of B.C.’s Skills for Jobs Blueprint, students with financial need may now receive up to $16,400 in non-repayable grants for studying in-demand trades at eligible public post-secondary institutions.

FORT ST. JOHN– Three special visitors from Japan toured the Fort St. John Campus Sept. 9th in anticipation of enrolling future students in NLC’s International Education program.

The Northern Lights College Board of Governors will be having a luncheon next week with the Fort St. John and District Chamber of Commerce. The event will be held on September 17 from noon-2 p.m. at the Pomeroy Hotel and Conference Centre.

Students, faculty and staff at Northern Lights College enjoyed a busy week of Orientation activities as another school year began on September 2, 2014.

DAWSON CREEK – Northern Lights College (NLC) President and CEO Laurie Rancourt announced her resignation August 25^th. Her final day with NLC will be October 31^st, 2014. Rancourt briefed faculty and staff during an all-staff address Monday morning having announced her intention to vacate the position to the Board of Governors earlier in the month.

PRINCE GEORGE – Up to two students at Northern Lights College will benefit from a generous donation by the North Central Local Government Association (NCLGA).

FORT ST. JOHN – As part of B.C.’s Skills for Jobs Blueprint, Northern Lights College (NLC) will receive funding for an additional 75 training spaces to increase access and help reduce waitlists for trades critical to the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) industry and in-demand trades.
