“I’m very proud of all the students here at the Fort Nelson Campus,” said campus administrator Laurie Dolan. “These three women shone brightly during the event. They all worked very hard to get where they are.”

Laura McLeod received the Lifelong Learner Award, gaining a standing ovation from the crowd. The elder is widely respected in Fort Nelson, and loves learning and encourages lifelong learning to her children, grandchildren, students at NLC and the other participants in Technology Helps.

Dione Dennis received the Educational Achievement Award for being an exceptional student. In addition to raising three children, she exhibits the drive and motivation to complete any goal.

Ericka Mastroianni received the Learning Through Technology Award after working tirelessly to complete the Applied Business Technology program.

The College is also very proud of Dolan who was the recipient of the Business Leadership Award. At the ceremony Dolan was honoured as a positive civic role model and a community leader who promotes all aspects of education in the Fort Nelson community.

Congratulations to all the award winners.
