ABTC 121 – Electronic Spreadsheet I

Students will study the basics of an electronic spreadsheet program.

Course Content:
Students will be instructed in the following topic areas:
- Formatting cells
- Copying and moving data
- Basic mathematical functions and formulas
- Saving and retrieving files
- Absolute and relative addressing
- Editing cells
- Applying basic printing options
- Identifying data types
- Sort
- Using search and replace
- Creating charts


Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, the students will be able to
- Plan, create, modify, and present spreadsheets
- Enter labels, values, and formulas
- Create formulas with relative, absolute, and mixed cell references
- Apply formatting to cells, columns, and rows
- Print ranges, worksheets, and workbooks
- Organize, edit, and enhance data in spreadsheets to achieve business standards
- Use formulas and built-in functions appropriately and correctly to solve problems and critically assess the results
- Design efficient spreadsheets capable of answering 'what-if' questions to solve business problems
- Plan, organize, create, and present spreadsheet data in graphic form
