Students will develop competency in using advanced functions of a word processing program on a personal computer. Students will merge documents, create and apply macros, sort and import data, create business forms, and use clip and word art.

- Microsoft Draw


Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to
- Create complex documents using tables, columns, graphics, charts, section breaks, and typographic controls
- Use automation features such as calculations, sort, on-line forms, fields, mail merge, auto text, templates, macros, and styles
- Create a data source with mail merge and merge the records to a main document or to labels and envelopes
- Create and format tables using advanced table features
- Use graphic features such as borders, pictures, shapes, SmartArt and WordArt in documents
- Format documents using features such as hyphenation, multi-level lists, and find and replace
- Format reports using features such as footnotes, page numbering, headers and footers, section breaks, captions, and table of contents
