This course follows the harmonized outline for ITA Level 3 Millwright. They install, repair, overhaul and maintain machinery and heavy mechanical equipment, such as conveyor systems in diverse settings including repair shops, plants, construction sites, mines, logging operations, ski hills and most production and manufacturing facilities. Millwright is designated as Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) under the Interprovincial Red Seal program. Millwrights also perform routine maintenance activities, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, adjusting valves and seals, and investigating breakdowns.

SERVICE FANS AND BLOWERS

- Identify and select positive displacement pumps
- Install, maintain and repair positive displacement pumps
- Identify and select non-positive displacement pumps
- Install, maintain and repair non-positive displacement pumps
SERVICE COMPRESSORS
- Identify and select compressors
- Install, maintain and repair compressors
SERVICE PIPING, TANKS AND CONTAINERS
- Select, install and maintain process tanks and containers
- Select, install and maintain piping
SERVICE HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS
- Identify hydraulic components
- Assemble hydraulic circuits
- Maintain and repair hydraulic systems
SERVICE PNEUMATIC AND VACUUM SYSTEMS
