Spring 2022

  • Launch of the new online registration system, Borealis !
    • Borealis is Northern Lights College's interactive online information and registration portal.  In Borealis, you can manage your enrolment, make tuition payments, view your student records, and obtain tax receipts. 
    • Video tutorials are available throughout this Registration Guide and on the Video Tutorials page.
    • Students log into Borealis through MyApps or at https://borealis.nlc.bc.ca.  
       
Previous Updates

Winter 2022

  • Dec. 31, 2021 update: in-person classroom instruction is cancelled until January 10. Students: for further information please contact your instructor and check your email. 
  • Dec. 22, 2021 update: NLC is still planning to move ahead with the Winter 2022 term as currently scheduled, with COVID-19 safety measures in place to support face-to-face learning.

Fall 2021

  • Semester-based course-sections are preparing for a full return to on-campus instruction.  Many course-sections that have historically been delivered online pre-pandemic will continue with online options.  All details about course delivery are contained in the Timetable; use the filter option to see course offerings by location, including Online/Distance offerings. 
  • Reminder that the registration deposit has increased to $275.00 under the updated Tuition Deposits, Deadlines, Refunds and Penalties policy. 

Spring 2021

  • Most semester-based course-sections will continue to be delivered remotely, unless there is a requirement for on-campus learning (e.g. labs). All details about course delivery are contained in the Timetable.
  • The registration deposit has changed to $275.00 under the updated Tuition Deposits, Deadlines, Refunds and Penalties policy.

June 2017

  • Registration priority now in effect.  Students are allowed to register in order based on number of credits earned.
  • New Refund Policy is now in effect.  See Deposits, Charges, and Penalties

March 2017

  • The NLC Registration Guide is launched!
  • Continuing international students now pay the same deposit as continuing domestic students. For Intersession 2017, deposit is $30/course. Note that tuition and all fees are due on the first day of classes, or for any registration done on or after the first day of classes.
  • Continuing students are scheduled to register on Mar 20 or any time after.
  • New students admitted to NLC prior to Mar 8 are scheduled to register on Apr 3 or any time after.
  • All other students will be able to on Apr 10.
  • Online payment is supported through WebAdvisor. See Touchnet.
