NLC has three study periods scheduled between May and August each year:

The timetable below is maintained by the Office of the Registrar.  The timetable is sorted by course rubric (subject code - course number).  To see detailed information about each section, click the magnifying glass.

For course planning assistance, please contact your department chair.  If you feel you meet requisites, but your academic record does not indicate requisite courses, please contact your department chair for a waiver.  Waivers must be approved before you register.

Note:  A deposit of $250 must by received by NLC at or before the time of registration.

Title Human Development 1
Description This course provides the student with an introduction to the theories, concepts, research methods, and findings relevant to the study of human development from prenatal through adolescence. Major developmental theories and issues are presented. Emphasis is placed on the application of life-span principles and concepts in individual and social contexts. The effects of heredity and environment, and ethical issues relevant to the research of development, are also presented.
Requisites Prerequisites: HDEC 100 (may be taken concurrently). Non-Course Prerequisites: Ministry of Justice Schedule B CRC (works with children)
