Information for Indigenous students and international students.

Is the college open?
Most campuses are maintaining very limited on-premise services for registration and records. There are no in-person classes at this time. Please use email if you need to get in touch with us.

I am avoiding coming to campus, but I usually get services in person. What are the alternatives?
You can access registration, fee payment, transcripts, and tax forms through our online or phone services. Check the Registration Guide or Student Records for more information.

How can I pay my fees?
We encourage you to pay your fees online or by phone. You can pay for all services and registration over the phone using MasterCard, Visa, and (in most cases) Visa Debit. Please note that we do not accept American Express. You can also pay for registration and outstanding fees through online banking and WebAdvisor.

What services are still available in person?
We encourage you to use remote and online options whenever possible. In some cases, in-person services such as campus services and the bookstores are available on a scheduled basis. Please check the hours, where available, and days of operation and contact the department directly to find out more.

When will the NLC Day Care open?
The NLC Day Care will remain closed all summer with a plan to open in September.  We will share specific information regarding opening dates when confirmed.

Accessibility services

What options do I have if I really struggle with or am completely unable take online classes and exams due to my disability?
Contact Access Services to set up a time to meet via video chat or over the phone. After we have assessed your needs, we can work with you and your instructors to come up with a plan to help you succeed.

Bookstores

Can I access the bookstore?
The bookstores in Dawson Creek and Fort St. John have introduced limited hours for in-person service. If you are visiting the bookstore, practice physical distancing. Staff may limit the number of people in the bookstore at any one time. If bookstore hours do not fit your schedule, please contact the bookstore.

How do I get my books if I can’t come in to pick them up?
The bookstore can mail books directly to you. Please contact the bookstore for additional information.

Can I return my books for a refund?
You can return books in new condition (unused, without bent pages or covers, and without markings) for a full refund with the original receipt. If we mailed the book directly to you, you may return the book by mail. Please note that you are responsible for covering the cost of mailing the book back to the bookstore.

Learning support

Who can I speak to about learning support services and mental health resources?
You can contact our learning support specialists for academic help. For confidential mental health support, you can access other support services.

Libraries

Since the libraries aren’t open, can I get a refund of the library fee?
Library services are continuing, albeit in a different format. Consequently, we are not considering to reduce any fees at this time.
