This Airport Safety course helps airport employees learn how to keep themselves, others, airplanes and cars safe while working at the airport. You will learn about different areas on the airport, such as runways, taxiways, and ramps, and how to move safely around them. The course explains how to watch for and avoid moving airplanes, vehicles, and equipment, and how to follow safety signs, lights, and signals. It also teaches how to report unsafe conditions and respond to emergencies like airplanes travelling off the runway or taxiway, fuel spills or fire. You will learn the importance of teamwork, communication, and following airport rules to prevent accidents. By the end of the course, you will understand how their actions help protect people, planes, pilots, passengers and property. This training helps everyone work safely together so that the airport stays a secure and well-organized place for travel and operations every day.
