  Lorraine (Lori) Audrey Archibald

  Lorraine Archibald is the CEO of Lake View Credit Union. Previously the Senior Finance Lead for the Office of the Public Guardian & Trustee, she is a key resource to board members of the Credit Union Audit, Finance and Governance Committee.

  Archibald is a past-President of the Eating Disorder Support Network of Alberta and former Treasurer for the Festival of Trees at the University (of Alberta) Hospital Foundation. She holds a Chartered Professional Human Resources designation from the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources, British Columbia and Yukon; a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alberta; and has also completed the ICD-Rotman Directors Education Program.

  Todd Bondaroff

  Todd Bondaroff was appointed as Acting President and CEO on January 10, 2022. Prior to this, Mr. Bondaroff served as the Vice-President Student Services and Community Relations at Northern Lights College (NLC). Todd has a diploma in Forest Technology from Selkirk College, a Bachelor and Master of Science in Natural Resources and Environmental Studies in Forestry at the University of Northern British Columbia. As a long-term resident of both Dawson Creek and Fort St. John, his hometown experiences and familiarity with campus life at the college have given him personal knowledge about the impact the President plays in the life and culture of the college and as a leader throughout the region. Todd has a solid understanding about the challenges and opportunities within the post-secondary landscape.

  Todd has a wide range of experiences in the natural resource sector. More specifically, he has over eighteen years of combined education and experience in both the private and public sectors. He has been fortunate in his career to have worked on high profile initiatives and projects that were regionally and provincially significant and deeply connected to the British Columbia economic plan. He has been a leader in Forestry, Mining, and Clean Energy technologies—with ongoing connections in these areas, throughout the region. Todd is committed to transforming post-secondary education to align with the principles of reconciliation and to begin to take the necessary steps alongside our Indigenous community partners.

  Judy Fox-McGuire

  Judy Fox-McGuire is the Senior Probation Officer at Community Corrections in Fort St. John. She is an alumna of Northern Lights College and was a sessional Instructor in Criminology and Sociology at NLC.

  Fox-McGuire is active in her community with the NDP regional riding and was previously involved with the Rocky Mountain Rangers Cadet Parents Association, Red Dragon Taekwondo Parents Association, North Peace Gymnastics and Totem Preschool. Currently, she is the Vice President of the BC Government Employees Union – Social, Information and Health (Component 6). Fox-McGuire has a Bachelors in Criminology from Simon Fraser University.

• Michael Neil Gilbert

  Mike Gilbert is a Regional Development Officer for the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality. He was formerly the Executive Director for the Fort Nelson First Nation. Gilbert has been involved in education for more than 35 years as an instructor, teacher, administrator and school trustee (SD #81), and has worked with Northern Lights College in a number of capacities including Instructor (power engineering upgrading, humanities/social sciences, business management and IT), Student Services Counsellor and Acting Campus Administrator.

  Gilbert is very active in his community as the First Nations Reconciliation representative of Hillcrest United Church, charter member of the Fort Nelson refugee committee, and has served as a former regional councillor in the Northern Rockies. He holds a Masters in Education (Organizational and Administrative Studies), a Bachelor of Arts, and a Bachelor of Education from Brock University.

  Stephanie Goudie

  Stephanie Goudie is the northern regional vice president for Canadian Union of Public Employees British Columbia (CUPE) and vice president for CUPE Local 2403. She also chairs the Anti-Privatization Committee for CUPE BC.

  She is the vice president of the Dawson Creek Pride Society and provides clerical administrative support for the City of Dawson Creek. Previously, she was a project lead for Organizing Against Racism and Hate and coordinator for Room to Bloom with the Dawson Creek Literacy Society. She also was a board member of the Dawson Creek Literacy Society and a Brownie leader with Girl Guides of Canada.

  Brandon Mackinnon joined Northern Lights College in January 2019 as an instructor in the Business Management program. He is an active member of the NLC community, serving as a member of the Education Council and the Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, as a union steward, as well as a member of the faculty bargaining committee. Mackinnon’s Board experience has been gained by serving as a representative on the Dawson Creek Municipal Public Library Board.

  Kurtis Rabel

  Kurtis Rabel is the housing manager on the Dawson Creek campus. Kurtis joined Northern Lights College in May 2021, as the regional bookstore retailer in Dawson Creek. Kurtis has a Bachelor’s degree in Human and Physical Geography from the University of Calgary and a passion for customer service.

  Jennifer Moore is the Owner/Success Navigator at Moorsaic Strategic Services. Previously, Ms. Moore was the Consulting Services Manager at MNP. Active in her community, she is the Founding Chair of Spark Women’s Leadership Conference and a Disaster Recovery Volunteer for the BC Economic Development Association. Ms. Moore holds a Bachelor of Tourism Management and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Thompson Rivers University.

  Colleen Brown is a senior legal and planning professional and the owner of Frontier Law. Previously, Ms. Brown was the Director of Projects and Planning for a BC-based wind energy development company. Active in her community, she is member with the Law Society of British Columbia; the Canadian Bar Association; and, the Canadian Institute of Planners and the Planners Institute of British Columbia. Ms. Brown holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alberta, a master’s degree in Community and Regional Planning from the University of British Columbia and law degrees from McGill University.

  Sarah Canning is a Human Resources Manager with Mistahiya Development Corporation. As part of the senior leadership team, she contributes to the strategic governance of the Saulteau First Nations’ group of companies. Sarah also serves as a Board Director for the South Peace First Nations Primary Care Clinic Society. Sarah holds a Bachelor’s of Human Resources and Labour Relations Degree, and is a certified 4th class Power Engineer. Proudly raised in Chetwynd, BC, you will generally find Sarah participating and volunteering at local events.

  Penny Berg is a councillor for Saulteau First Nation. Previously, Ms. Berg was a controller with talent for Saulteau First Nation. Ms. Berg holds a certificate of Applied Technology in Finance from Northern Lights College and certifications in Strategy and Decision Making and Aboriginal Human & Fiscal Issues from the Aboriginal Financial Officers Association.

  Tim Best is the owner of T&B Best Contracting Ltd. Previously, Mr. Best was a shift supervisor at Maple Leaf loading. Prior to this, Mr. Best was a logging truck and commercial truck driver for over fifteen years.

  Kristen Ghostkeeper is a Community Relations Coordinator for Conuma Resources. Previously,
  Ms. Ghostkeeper was in a Maintenance Administration role with Conuma Resources. Ms. Ghostkeeper was a part of the 2023 Pemmican Days Committee with the Saulteau First Nation.

  Sylvia Fraser is an alumna of Northern Lights College and became a faculty member in 2006, as a vocational instructor in the Applied Business Technology (ABT) program. She believes in life-long learning and that it should be fun, engaging, and accessible to all students. In addition to her teaching duties, she is the Program Lead for the ABT department and a serving member of the Education Council; currently in the role of Education Council Chair. Her previous Board experience has been gained by serving eight years on the Board for the Spark Women’s Leadership Conference.

  Lorelyn Arejola

  Lorelyn Arejola is a student in her third year of the Social Work Program on our Fort St. John campus. She was a social worker in the Philippines prior to coming here, serving on her field’s professional association governing body.

  She gained extensive experience in student leadership in college and during her career, received accolades in social work as well — prior to coming to Canada. She has a strong belief in supporting the rights of children which will help make her an excellent social worker.

  Jashanpreet Singh is a student on our Fort St. John campus in Early Childhood Education. He is committed to education and community development, and wants to bring his leadership skills in equity, inclusion and access to resources to our overall student experience.
