The group has been a long-time supporter of NLC students, establishing its first endowment in 1999. When combined, the endowments make possible two annual awards, each valued at $860.

One award is available to students graduating from the Heavy Duty/Commercial Transport Technician Foundation program at the Fort St. John Campus, with the second one available to students in the same program at the Dawson Creek Campus.

Applicants must demonstrate academic achievement and a commitment to a career in the commercial transport industry.

The Northern BC Truckers Association’s new donation of $22,000 received an additional grant of $10,000 from the NLC Foundation Board as part of the Board’s new endowment development program.

For further information on these awards or for more information on the NLC Foundation Board’s endowment development program, please contact Donna Kane, executive director of the NLC Foundation at 250-784-7613 or email dkane@nlc.bc.ca.
