Storm Resources creates awards program for Northern Lights College

REGION WIDE – Post-secondary students in the Campus region of Northern Lights College (NLC) will be pleased to learn of 5 new annual awards by Storm Resources totaling $9,000.

One Storm Resources Education Award for Aboriginal Women is open to any female Aboriginal student enrolled at a full-time program at NLC, and is valued at $1,800.

Two Storm Resources Oil and Gas Field Operations Scholarships are open to any student enrolled in the Oil and Gas Field Operator program at NLC, valued at $1,800 each.

Two Storm Resources Oil and Gas Field Operations Scholarships (Aboriginal) are open to any Aboriginal student enrolled in the Oil and Gas Field Operator program at NLC, and are valued at $1,800 each.

The next application deadline for the above awards for the September 2015 academic year is January 25, 2016.

By recognizing a student’s academic achievement as well as providing financial assistance, these awards will go a long way in supporting the success of our students,” said Donna Kane, Executive Director of the Northern Lights College Foundation.

Thanks to the generousity of its industry partners, the NLC Foundation is able to administer hundreds of student awards each year. In the 2014-15 academic year, the NLC Foundation awarded approximately $500,000.
