Student Life

student lifeNorthern Lights College campuses have relaxed atmospheres, where students may gather to study or visit, in common areas such as the cafeteria, student residence common rooms, Indigenous Gathering Space, or lounge areas.

Some campuses have outdoor patio areas that can be accessed during the seasonal weather. The Dawson Creek Campus has seating areas in the Campus Centre and Energy House buildings. The Fort St. John Campus offers the Atrium and its relaxing atmosphere surrounded by tropical fish and flora.

Campus Student Councils are staffed by local students, and plan a variety of recreation activities both on and off campus for students and their families.

Depending on the campus, students may be involved in community events or fundraising activities, hosting luncheons or dances. Recreational opportunities are also available in community sports leagues, and in some intramural sports, including volleyball, basketball, soccer, and floor hockey (where facilities permit).
