Join student groups & activities

Our campus student groups organize social, cultural, and recreational events on and off campus for students and their families. You can get involved by simply attending, or maybe you’d like to help in the planning and organizing as a member of the Student Council.

Stay informed on all student activities so you don’t miss out!

Student support when and where you need it

We’re committed to providing services to help our students in times of need, on and off campus. This includes support for crisis, access services, learning support, health & wellness resources, and advisors for our Indigenous and international students.

Get active

At NLC, you can participate in recreational opportunities on campus or in the community. We regularly hold intramural competitions in volleyball, basketball, floor hockey, and more. We also have very strong relationships with community sports leagues like hockey and curling.

Of course, students are always welcome to join in the recreational activities planned by the city or town where they study. See local recreational guides for more information.

Many local fitness centres offer our students a special rate for a monthly gym pass. Inquire with your local gym for details.

Your student handbook is here

The NLC Student Handbook holds much of the important information you need as a student.
