Basic Chainsaw Safety – Fort St John

This one day course will teach you safety, maintenance, use and handling of a chainsaw. You will receive hands-on practical training and learn what contributes to accidents and how to avoid them. The course covers chainsaw safety such as dealing with slashing, bucking, and felling of trees. Upon successful completion of the course, you will be certified in felling trees under 6 inches in diameter at stump height.

 Certification: LRM Enterprises (valid for 3 years)

PREREQUISITES:

  • Must be 16 yrs or older.
  • Must provide government issued ID
  • Must provide PPE: Chainsaw chaps, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, ear protection. Hard hat with face shield & ear protection and chainsaw chaps available for use, but limited supply available to share.
