We offer a comprehensive and well rounded training program for athletes across a variety of rodeo events. The program is designed to ensure that athletes get a solid mix of technical and competitive experience.
Practice Facilities
NLC provides access to premier facilities for all team members:
- Lakota Agriplex: Indoor arena for weekly practices in Dawson Creek
- NLC Farm: On-site outdoor riding area

- Rough Stock (Bareback, Saddle Bronc, Bull Riding)
- Steer Wrestling

The NLC Rodeo Team competes within the Canadian Collegiate Rodeo Association (CCRA). To remain eligible for competition, student-athletes must meet the following academic standards:
- Be registered in a minimum of three courses.
- Maintain an academic GPA of 2.0.
- Trades and Apprenticeship students are welcome to join and compete.
A truly unique feature of the NLC Rodeo Team is the opportunity to live on the NLC farm (for students 19 years of age or older), allowing you to live along with your horse.
