How to Clear Your Browser History

Desktop Browsers

Google Chrome (Desktop)

  1. Press Ctrl + H to open History.
  2. Click Clear browsing data on the left.
  3. Choose the time range (e.g., Last hour).
  4. Select:
    • Browsing history
    • Download history
    • Cached images and files
  5. Optional:
    • Cookies and other site data
    • Passwords

Microsoft Edge (Desktop)

  1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete.
  2. Choose the time range.
  3. Check:
    • Browsing history
    • Download history
    • Cached images and files
  4. Optional:
    • Cookies and site data
    • Passwords

Brave Browser (Desktop)

  1. Click the menu (three lines or dots) in the top-right.
  2. Go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Clear browsing data.
  3. Choose a time range.
  4. Select:
    • Browsing history
    • Cached images and files
  5. Optional:
    • Cookies
    • Saved passwords

Firefox (Desktop)

  1. Type about:preferences#privacy in the address bar.
  2. Scroll to Cookies and Site Data, then click Clear Data.
  3. Alternatively, under History, click Clear Recent History.
  4. Choose the time range and check:
    • Browsing & Download History
    • Form & Search History
    • Cache
    • (Optional) Cookies

Mobile Browsers

Google Chrome (Android/iOS)

  1. Tap the menu (three dots).
  2. Go to History > Clear browsing data.
  3. Choose a time range.
  4. Select:
    • Browsing history
    • Cached images and files
  5. Optional:
    • Cookies and site data
    • Saved passwords

Samsung Internet (Android)

  1. Tap the menu (≡) > Settings.
  2. Go to Personal Data > Delete browsing data.
  3. Select:
    • Browsing history
    • Cache
  4. Optional:
    • Cookies
    • Passwords

Brave (Mobile)

  1. Tap the menu (three dots).
  2. Select History, then Clear browsing data.
  3. Choose what to delete:
    • Browsing history
    • Cached files
    • Optional: Cookies, Saved login data

Safari (iOS)

  1. Go to Settings > Safari.
  2. Tap Clear History and Website Data.
  3. For more advanced options:
    Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data > Remove All Website Data
