AMT instructor receives high honour from BC Aviation Council

One of the highest honours in the BC aviation industry has landed with an NLC instructor. 

Aircraft Maintenance Technician instructor Curtis Newby has been named as the 2023 recipient of the Robert Hope Pursuit of AME Excellence Award from the BC Aviation Council.  

The award is presented annually in recognition of outstanding contribution to the Aviation and Aerospace Industry in the field of Aircraft Maintenance. It reflects the dedication of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with an underlying adherence to safety, the advancement of aviation and aerospace, the dignity of the profession and the constant striving for the pursuit of excellence. 

Curtis has been a fixture in the NLC Hangar since 2011, teaching both the M Program and the Roto Type Training program. He is dedicated to the students that come through the AMT program, helping them become the best technicians they can be.
