On Monday, June 20, Northern Lights College’s Dean of Academic and Vocational Programs, Kathy Handley, announced some key appointments at our college.
Cindy Broberg, Instructor of Biology, has been re-appointed as a Chair of University Arts and Sciences (UNAS), for another two years until May 31, 2024; and, Faisal Rashid, Instructor of Business Management, has been appointed Chair of Business Management—a new role necessitated by the growth of the program.
As a long-time NLC employee with excellent leadership qualities, Cindy will continue to use her skills to take the Arts and Sciences division forward with continuity and dedication to quality education delivery. Faisal also brought a wealth of experience in teaching and leadership to NLC when he joined us in 2011 as an instructor. Since then, he has served as a member and Chair of NLC’s Education Council, as well as in the faculty position on the NLC Board of Governors.
These Chairs work in concert with existing chairs, notably Issoufou Soumaila, who is the other chair within the University Arts and Sciences department
