DAWSON CREEK – The NLC Foundation is now accepting applications for two sets of entrance awards available to Aboriginal students at Northern Lights College.

The Talisman Aboriginal Entrance Award has four awards, valued at $1,250 each, available to Aboriginal students enrolling full time in any program at NLC (except Career and College Preparation).

Preference will be given to northeast British Columbia Aboriginal students. Students should indicate on the award application form how the award would benefit their educational goals.

The EnCana Aboriginal Entrance Award has six awards, valued at $1,000 each, available to any northeast B.C. Aboriginal student residing in the Dawson Creek, Fort St. John or Fort Nelson areas.

Students must be enrolling in full-time studies in any program at NLC. Students are to submit a one-page essay detailing their career aspirations, and why they need the award.

Applications for both awards are available from the Financial Aid Office at each NLC campus. The deadline for submitting applications for both awards is Sept. 30.
