Northern Lights College (NLC) supports BC residents in furthering their education through funded future skills grant courses.
The Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills has announced this year’s round of funding for the future skills grant, which provides every BC resident with up to $3,500 for short-term skills training. NLC Workforce Training and Continuing Education has 11 programs that provide learners with the opportunity to upgrade their skill set.
“The StrongerBC future skills grant continues to create new opportunities for British Columbians to build in-demand skills and advance their careers. Northern Lights College is proud to support lifelong learning by offering flexible, high-quality training that helps learners respond to changing workforce needs,” said Stefanie Chymko, Acting Dean of Workforce Training and Continuing Education at NLC. “We encourage learners to explore how the future skills grant can help invest in their future, strengthen their communities and achieve their educational and career goals.”
The following programs are eligible for future skills grant funding:
Airport Management – Airside Maintainer
Airport Management – Airside Application
Airport Management – Airport Manager
Airport Safety Management Series – Safety Management for Managers
Airport Safety Management Series – Safety Management for Workers
Field Operations Specialist – Hydrocarbon Resources (FOS-HR)
Medical Secretary Suite
Pain Management and End of Life
Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) Drone Series
Search and Rescue (SAR) Drone Series
Veterinary Assistant Series
