NLC is pleased to announce that the British Columbia General Employees Union (BCGEU Local 0710) and Northern Lights College (NLC) have reached a tentative collective agreement for the period of July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2025. The tentative agreement covers approximately 189 BCGEU employees at NLC.
The leadership of both BCGEU Local 0710 and NLC are grateful for the ongoing commitment and capable work of the bargaining teams. The respectful, collaborative and interest-based approach from both sides enabled us to reach a tentative agreement that will better support BCGEU employees and the College now and in the future.
This tentative agreement aligns with the provincial government’s 2022 Shared Recovery Mandate and NLC’s strategic plan commitments to building an inclusive, respectful, safe and welcoming college community. BCGEU and NLC will now initiate their respective ratification processes and we will share more details about the agreement when ratification is complete.
