The Safety Management for Managers course provides the knowledge and tools needed to develop and maintain a Safety Management System (SMS) in aviation and other safety-critical workplaces. You will learn about the roles and responsibilities of management in fostering a strong safety culture where employees feel confident reporting hazards and safety concerns.
The course covers practical methods for identifying and reporting hazards, incidents, and safety observations. You will learn how to collect and analyze safety data, recognize trends, and link related hazards. Instruction also includes conducting risk analyses to assess the likelihood and severity of hazards, determining root causes, and developing effective corrective actions.
By the end of the course, you will understand how to communicate findings to senior management, monitor progress, and continuously improve safety performance within their organization.
