Motorized recreation can be an exciting and enjoyable means to experience the recreational opportunities on public lands. However, because these vehicles tend to be louder, faster, larger and more powerful than most other means of outdoor travel, they can cause significant lasting damage to the landscape.

Remember that by acting responsibly, we collectively maintain our access privileges and preserve the area for future generations. Take the lead and reduce YOUR impact. Knowing all you can about your ATV or UTV and the places you can ride is the best preparation for safe and enjoyable riding.

The ATV/UTV Safety course is a 5-hour training program. The curriculum, which is based on field-tested techniques, provides a fun and orderly way to learn proper ATV/UTV operation. The rider learns about controls, reading terrain, turning and climbing hills. The advanced course also covers trailering, towing, and winching. This course meets all applicable Federal and Provincial training requirements.
