Everything about gardening begins with healthy soil!  In this course, you will learn about soil structure, the types of soil in our growing zone, how soil supports plant growth, and what we can do to create healthy, resilient soil.  You will learn how to decipher what type of soil you have, including its porosity, tilth, drainage/water-holding capacity, and pH.  You will learn how to prevent compaction, discourage weeds, promote drainage, and build soil year-over-year so that you can grow healthy, happy plants.
