This is a 20-hour course, for individuals living or working in remote communities or worksites. Concepts include wilderness planning, wound care, and environmental emergencies. Plus, we’ll teach you strategies for providing extended care for up to 24 hours. This is outdoors; you will need appropriate clothing and a suitable daypack; a list will be provided. No prerequisites are required. Complete a written, closed-book knowledge evaluation independently with a minimum score of 75%. Attend and participate in 100% of the course.
Remote First Aid Course includes a Standard/Intermediate First Aid Certificate — recognized by WorkSafeBC + OHS AB!
Requirements: Outdoor weather appropriate attire and suitable daypack.
