HDEC100 Essential Skills for Human Service Workers

(3.0 credits)

This introductory course will focus on foundational skills for students in the human services fields, with an emphasis on the theory and practice of written communication. The research essay, APA style, observation/assessment tools and basic workplace communication methods will be covered.

Restrictions: Must be in ECE/EA program (ECEC2/EDAS…)

Other Prerequisites: Criminal Record Check Schedule B works with "children" or works with "children and vulnerable adults"Admission into the Early Childhood Education and Care Diploma Program or the Education Assistant Program
