This course is designed to help adults develop basic personal English skills. It focuses on pre-reading, beginning reading, writing and oral communication. Learners may be supported by volunteer literacy tutors in conjunction with community literacy programs as well as in small instructor led groups.

Restrictions: Must have been admitted to an NLC program.
