IHSW101 Introduction to Human Service Work

This course provides an introduction to human service work in a northern and rural context with an emphasis on Indigenous communities and individuals. Students will be introduced to the skills, knowledge, and values necessary for entry-level work in a human service field. The course prepares students through an examination of the history, nature, and characteristics, of effective human service workers.
