Apprenticeship Steamfitter/Pipefitter consists of 4 separate levels of School based learning and the accompanied workplace hours and assessments regulated by Skilled Trades BC. This training includes all the relevant technical training to complete the separate Level 1, 2, 3, or 4 Skilled Trades BC (STBC) learning outcomes for this trade.
Students who successfully complete all 4 levels of this training will have satisfied the STBC requirements for their apprenticeship technical training.

Career Prospects
Steamfitters/pipefitters can find employment in residential, commercial, and industrial construction in addition to maintenance departments of factories, plants and other similar establishments. They can also find work with pipefitting and sprinkler system contractors, or become self-employed in the industry.

Admission Requirements
Registered as an Apprentice in the trade of Steamfitter/Pipefitter with Skilled Trades BC and be eligible to attend the level of training requested as per STBC standards
Important Notes
- The program is not eligible for Canada Student Loans.
- Students must provide personal protective equipment (gloves, hard hat, coveralls, CSA safety-toe footwear, and CSA safety glasses with clear lenses, etc.). Students are required to have a computer (laptop or other mobile device) with minimum computer requirements.
- The program is affiliated with SkilledTradesBC.
